Some Faces from the past. Remember film? Some of these images go as far back as 1988.
Something about a Black and White Portrait. Most of these people are actors. You can see what happens when a few of them get in front of a camera.

Took these a few weeks ago. Another good example of how the new cameras handle high ASA/ISO. These were taken at 5000 asa. This would have been unheard of just a few years ago. I prefer to shoot with a tripod or monopod but in these situations hand held is the only way to shoot the fast action. Although I had to shoot through the glass it had minimal affect on the image quality.
Turned out to be a pretty warm day. All the big cats were either in the shade or in their dens. Most of the other animals were pretty lazy too.
Thank god for ASA 6400 The Orangutang’s paddock was very dark. It was a sunny day but the sun had gone past the glass roof.
Shot all but the penguins with my 400mm. The penguins were shot with my 70-200.
Don Cherry signs a beer can at a Don Cherry’s Bar and Grill. I’m not sure how happy he was, the restaurant didn’t have air conditioning.
After about a half hour Don requested no more flash photography. All the flashes were starting to bother his eyes.
Don spent a couple of hours signing autographs after a private reception at the restaurant.
The trip was a good test for higher ASA (ISO) these shots were taken at 800 ASA. I only brought my 24-105 lens and no tripod.
This was taken at 5000 ASA
These two were taken at 1600 ASA
This was taken at 6400 ASA
It was great to be able to use these higher ASAs but I prefer to use a lower ASA and a tripod when ever possible.
